U.S. House & U.S. Senate to Debate Transportation Reauthorization
February 2012
As the March 31, 2012 expiration of the SAFETEA-LU transportation authorization quickly approaches, Congress is working towards a new transportation reauthorization. The U.S. House and U.S. Senate have proposed two very different pieces of legislation, which will make it difficult to pass one cohesive bill. The Association has put together a side-by-side comparison of both bills, which can be viewed in News.

AGC of NH Appeals Davis Bacon Highway Wage Rates

AGC of NH has made the decision to appeal the 2011 highway Davis Bacon Wage Rates. The decision comes after much discussion with the Board of Directors, NH Department of Transportation, and the U.S. Department of Labor. Research showed that a number of job classification increased wage rates significantly from 2010 to 2011. Read about AGC of NH’s findings and view the research on the “News” page.

During AGC of NH’s 2011 Annual Meeting, Peter Tremblay of The MacMillin Company was named the 2012 President. Tremblay previously served as the Senior Vice President of the Association. New! Committee Meeting Dates Available Online!
December 2011
Committee members can now view upcoming committee meetings online through AGC of NH’s website calendar. Located under the Events tab, the monthly calendar shows the meeting dates, times, and locations for each committee (if a meeting is scheduled for that month). The calendar also shows important legislative dates, and Association office closures.
